Avoid negative self- talk

The words we use have power. What is self-talk? It is the things you say out loud or in your head which express how you feel about yourself. "I am stupid."                 "I am fat."                    "I am no good."               "I can't do anything right."

But sometimes we are talking about our self and we don't realize it. "This is so stupid."     "I hate that."    "Why is everyone around me so dumb?"

If you find a negative word cropping up in your thoughts or speech on a regular basis, stop and examine why. Are you really talking about yourself? When you use certain words you give them power over your subconscious.

Stop. Change your thinking. Use words which are life affirming.  "I am beautiful."   I am worthy."   "I am loved."

NOTE: If you are suffering from depression, anxiety, etc get professional help. There is no shame in needing to talk to someone.  I have done it. There is no shame in taking medication. I do it.
