You cannot take care of others 
if you do not take care of yourself. 


YOU CANNOT take care of others 
if you do not take care of yourself. 

Here are some ideas: 
take a bath
take a walk
take a nap
read a book
watch your favorite TV show
take antidepressant if needed
see a counselor
see a spiritual director
meditate
work in the garden
have coffee with a friend
talk on the phone with a friend
eat out
play!
get a massage
get a facial
get a pedicure/manicure
buy something just for you
light a candle
listen to music
do a puzzle
hum, sing, or whistle
go somewhere private and scream!
color in a coloring book
laugh
sleep
learn a new hobby or craft
get a new hair cut
take a mini-class in something that interests you
go to a movie, museum, art gallery
don't answer the phone - they will call back
sit in the sun 
visit a park and watch children playing 
yoga 
plan a dream vacation 
read book of jokes 
stay away from toxic people
have a cup of herbal tea
a glass of Asti
chocolate (if it's dark it's healthy and therefore self-care)!
dance - by yourself or with friends
watch some fireworks
exercise
buy or pick some flowers for a bouquet
hug a teddy bear (or favorite stuffed animal)
punch a pillow
forgive yourself
volunteer
journal
